From rolling Minehaha Creek to the placid water of Diamond Lake, the HPDL community contains some of the most beautiful natural resources Minneapolis has to offer. Drawn from these inspirations, the HPDL Environmental Committee was formed to encourage sustainable living practices that positively impact our natural spaces, and increase the health and standard of life for all residents.
Founded in 2012, the HPDL Environmental Committee sponsors the annual Earth Day clean up for our community spaces. The Environmental Committee also introduced Organics Recycling in Pearl Park for all residents of South Minneapolis to use. Our vision is to engage, educate and work towards a sustainable, environmentally progressive community for generations to come.
