If you and your kids have a bad case of cabin fever, then it’s time to join us as we celebrate our Minnesota existence! The 13th Annual Frost Fest will take place on Friday, January 29 at Pearl Park from 6-8 pm. Kids Dance DJ will spin some hip and groovy kids’ music while their partners in dance do some wild moves.

Some additional activities will include coin medallion hunt (bring your flashlights and warm winter gear!) door prize drawings, face painting, the cup cake walk, indoor games, craft creations, and WII competitions. Don’t worry about making dinner before you get the kids out of the  house, because food concessions will be available for purchase. This fantastically fun event is brought to you by the volunteers and staff of Pearl Park, the Pearl Improvement and Recreation Council and the Hale, Page, and Diamond Lake Community Association.

18th Annual Picnic in the Park- Jo Jo the balloon guy

The 18th Annual Picnic in the Park was a great success, and a very special event for our community. We would like to extend a huge “thank you” to all of our sponsors— Kowalski’s, Fat Lorenzo’s, Mike’s Corner Store, and PIRC, for helping to make the event a wonderful evening of fun and community togetherness for the Hale Page Diamond Lake Neighborhood.

The weather was picture perfect—despite a few sprinkles here and there—and everyone brought their appetites! The music was loud and lively, and kept folks tapping their toes. Jo Jo, the balloon guy, was a big hit with the kids.

Neighborhood businesses, nonprofits of all kinds, and churches shared information with picnic-goers. Be sure to join us next year for the 19th Annual Picnic in the Park!
