Board of Directors

Organization of the Board

The Board of Directors consists of eleven elected members: two representatives from each of the three neighborhoods (Hale, Page, and Diamond Lake) and five at-large members. Terms are staggered so that only one-half of the Board is up for election in any given year. Each member serves a two-year term.

Board Meetings

The Board of Directors holds monthly meetings (generally the fourth Monday of every month at 7:00 PM) at the HPDL offices and all HPDL meetings are open to the public. There are also various committee meetings held at various times. Meeting minutes are recorded and posted on our website.

Lisa Robinson

Lisa Robinson

Lisa Robinson- Chair

Lisa and her partner have lived in the Diamond Lake neighborhood for the past 3 years, relocating to Minneapolis from southern California where they both had tremendous commutes. When they were looking for homes, wanted to live, work, and play all in the same city, as they were not able to do so in years past. Lisa says that they picked the right neighborhood and love it! They also have their 7 year old nephew living with them, and enjoy taking full advantage of the parks, lakes, and local businesses.

Lisa wanted to become more knowledgeable about the city and neighborhood, and thought the HPDL board would be a great way to learn and meet new people. This is Lisa’s second year on the board and now her first year as chair.

Angie Timmons

Angie moved to the Hale Page Diamond Lake area in 2005 when she purchased her grandmother’s home. She has many fond memories of weekend trips to her grandma’s, filled with biking along the creek, playing in Pearl Park, and exploring around Diamond Lake. She is happy to be continuing these activities as an adult in this neighborhood.

Professionally, Angie coordinates Environmental Education for Hennepin County Environmental Services. She has a degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies from the University of Minnesota, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas.

As a member of the board, she has worked with the Friends of Diamond Lake to develop a lake management plan and looks forward to working on additional environmental projects for the neighborhood.
